The reason

Track 4. tuba was completed during the course on the foundations of a sustainable worldview at Tallinn University (TLÜ). students were divided into groups and in each group, it was necessary to prepare a project to illustrate the foundations of the sustainable worldview of the people of that group. In the group, which included theme keeper Ragne Kalmet, timekeeper Gisela-Angela Aasa, letter keeper peacecop kalmer:, story keeper Sandra Liis, heart keeper Doris and keeper Birgit Avistu, the creation of an orientation game was chosen from six proposals as a project. On the way to school or on the way home from school, i mapped the area and created a track called 4. tuba, because the virtual room of our project group was the fourth one. The course consisted of 11 tasks, was about 2.2 km long, and was designed for knowledge skills from the 11th-grade level. i created a tutorial video to introduce others. At TLÜ, every student is required to participate in the Learning in Interdisciplinary Focused Environment (LIFE), in which students from different majors are involved. Since i didn't want to spend my energy on anything other than what i came to TLÜ to study - learning to teach natural sciences, i created the ELU Project Ruum4. After the introduction, i let the members of Ruum4 test the 4. tuba, so that they could get a first idea of the educational orienteering game that we had to create ourselves.

Before completing each track, players filled out a questionnaire with questions about the topics of the track. After completing the course, they filled out the same questionnaire to find out if anything was learned on the course.

The members of Ruum4 tested the 4. tuba in five rounds and this is how many units the participants learned:

the testers could see all the control points of the track at the beginning.

i walked with the participants in the second, third and fourth rounds and documented them. When i noticed mistakes, i corrected the game. The biggest correction took place on 2022-10-17. When solving the redox reaction equation task, i noticed that the subtasks didn't help the players enough, so i added an intermediate step. It turned out to be an anomaly that the second subtask is given to be solved before the first. i made the tasks containing the goals of sustainable development significantly clearer. i added translations to some assignments when there was space. In general, this should not be done, but different tasks and tracks must be done for different human languages.

So, for the most part, completing the course helped them to learn. In the case of one participant, there was a loss of what was learned, and in the case of two participants, the level of what was learned remained the same.

Publication

A track is published on Mathcitymap only if all its tasks have been validated by Mathcitymap's own human. Only the last task of the track received such negative feedback that i needed to change the setup of the task. Once i had done that, both the quest and the entire track were published. So now anyone can play this track without having to know the trail code.
